This resource will only be about emails pertaining to sponsorships. (not fan mail or companies trying to sell products to YouTubers).

For the purpose of this this resource, we’ll be focusing on 4 things:

1️⃣ How to Check if Sponsorship Emails are Legit

The first step when you get an email about a partnership is to determine if the email is real and not a scam. Here are the questions we ask when scanning emails for legitimacy:

  1. Are they emailing from a gmail or real company domain?
    1. When it comes to brand deals, we skip most emails from gmails since they’re usually scams.
  2. Was their english good and did they address you by the right name?
    1. If their english is bad and/or they address you by the wrong name, it’s probably not a legit opportunity. *Caveat - there are some real non-US brands (like Flexispot, DREO, Temu) that do have real offers if you connect with the right rep.
